Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on August 26, 2002 is a popular American musician and singer. The rapper gained fame due to the release of the 2019 hit single "Ransom" which reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. This single was part of his mixtape debut "We Love You Tecca" (2019), which reached number 4 on US Billboard 200. It also contained the singles "Love Me" and "Did It Again". The album he released as his debut, Virgo world (2020) was released at the top of the Billboard 200 at number 10. It also featured the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting songs "Dolly" and "When You Down". His second mixtape, We Love You Tecca 2, was released in August 2021 and included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is a Jamaican Immigrant, was born in Queens on the 26th of August 2002. Sharpe was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and later moved to Cedarhurst on Long Island. Since his early years, Sharpe had aspirations of being a player in the NBA however, at 12 years old, he turned his attention toward pursuing a career path in music. Sharpe completed his studies at Lawrence High School. Tecca aged nine at the time, was rapping along with his peers using his Xbox to record. The two would sometimes berate each other. One of the tracks was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but the track has since been deleted. When he was a child when he was a kid, he did not have any plans of making an income in music, and instead , he envisioned becoming an NBA superstar. However, during his middle school years, he resigned himself to basketball and started to take the music seriously. The first track that gained some recognition, "Tectri", was recorded in collaboration with his buddy, Lil Gummybear, and was released in early 2017. The other tracks he has released include "Callin" and "Tectri". His smash hit single "Ransom," which was first posted to Cole Bennett's Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd in 2019, was the start of the meteoric rise of Tecca. The song peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has been able to get over 800 million plays on Spotify and over 300 million views on YouTube.
