Big Time Rush is an American pop music boy band formed in 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow along with Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed with Nick Records in 2009 before changing to Columbia Records. They appeared in Nickelodeon's telecast show, Big Time Rush. From November 28, 2009 until July 25 in 2013, the show aired. The premiere episode featured the group's debut promo single, "Big Time Rush". The group recorded three albums, BTR in 2010, Elevate 2011 and 24/7 in 2013. The group took an indefinite hiatus in the year 2014 which lasted until 2021, when the band resumed live performances and released the single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a record contract in 2009 and was simultaneously airing the TV show Big Time Rush.
