Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone was born to Krista Jean Stone and Jeffrey Charles Stone in Scottsdale, Arizona, on November 6, 1988. She is a homemaker. Jeffrey Charles Stone is the founder and CEO of the contracting company Stone Contracting. She is of Swedish, German and British Isles descent. Stone began acting as a child at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. There she made her stage debut in the performance in "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame. In her teens, Stone performed in numerous other productions until she decided to make acting her career. Informally, she developed a PowerPoint presentation that was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood", and entitled "Project Hollywood", to convince her parents to allow her go to school and relocate to Los Angeles. After the pitch was accepted, the couple moved to LA. She continued to study at home and was able to audition. Her TV breakthrough when she was awarded the role of Laurie Partridge in the VH1 talent/reality show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004) that led to several smaller TV roles in the following years. Her film debut was as Jules in Superbad (2007) and following a string of great performances, her lead part in the film Olive in Easy A (2010) established her as a rising star. In Phoenix, Arizona, she attended Xavier College Preparatory. While she is a redhead, her natural hair color her hair is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color to Superbad (2007) and she loved it so much that she chose to keep it. When she was 15, she convinced her parents to let her to move to Hollywood by presenting the PowerPoint presentation that was appropriately titled Project Hollywood. Her first experience in acting at 11 years of age in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she performed in more than 16 stage productions as well as performing in the theatre's comedy-improv troupe. Caylee Cowan also appeared at the Valley Youth Theatre.
